Girls Day

My goodness! It has been a little while since my last blog post. I feel like a lot has happened between then and now. My family came in to town, Marcelo is getting used to his new job, and we’re still trying to cope with completely different days off.

With all the craziness life brings, I love my days off from work. I also love spending time with my friend Lauren. Whenever I talk about this girl to anyone, the best way to describe her is that she is the most MAGICAL person I have ever met. She is so sweet, loves Disney, and just exudes magic.

I had the privilege of going to Sea World with her yesterday for a “Girls Day”. I haven’t been in years, and I was amazed at how much has changed and how much has still stayed the same. There are new rides and attractions, but the shows are still as cheesy as I remember and it was wonderful.

The first thing we did was ride the newest roller coaster, Manta. Now, I love roller coasters…a lot! But, I was absolutely terrified of this one because it looks a little something like this…Image

You are literally parallel to the track on this one. Amazingly terrifying and thrilling all at the same time.

After that, it was a chill rest of the day. We saw most of the shows and we visited Lauren’s favorite attraction there, Empire of the Penguins. While it was freezing cold, it was amazing! You were literally in arms reach of penguins. They’re such extraordinary creatures. They can survive freezing temperatures, and protect their eggs/babies during snow storms. They are really cool animals.

I love getting to hang out with Lauren because there is never a dull moment with her. She is always so happy and we can talk about anything.

My advice to all you ladies…HAVE A GIRLS DAY or NIGHT! It’s worth it. You get to connect with your friends, it’s a great way to catch up, and it’s fun! You always find exciting things to do. Here’s a few suggestions:
-Go to a theme park
-Go to a regular park and walk around a while
-Go out to lunch or dinner
-Stay at home and make lunch or dinner
-Go see a chick flick
-Go to a coffee shop
-Go to a place where they do an English tea and brunch

The list can go on and on. Be creative with your girls and have fun!
